- Originally founded on the 6th of January 2020, FXT CARGO LTD, formally traded under the name of Brunel Global Solutions Limited. The company was quick to establish itself in the industry and after a tentative start due to Covid-19 the company enjoyed a solid 2 years of trading. As the industry changed and China went into Lockdown due to Covid-19, we had to evolve, significantly reduce our overheads and make some commercial decisions in order for the company to survive. explains Michael Sitch, Managing Director of Brunel Global. We found that E-Commerce volumes were extremely low and LCL containers had a limited worth. We had decided not to operate our own transport fleet when we started the company and had always relied upon 3PL Logistics partners and Pallet networks to operate our haulage offering, but as the cost of haulage became overly competitive due to unsustainable haulage rates, We could no longer compete which resulted in less and less LCL containers coming into the business, and therefore, we had to make the difficult commercial decision to cease providing a Transport service. Another commercial decision we had to make was to dissolve the Brunel Global partnership of Mike White and myself. Mike is Group Operations Director for the Brunel group and has a very complex and challenging role to fulfil within the Brunel group and Mike felt that he was unable to support our partnership in any value added capacity. Mike therefore and in an act of true altruism, decided to step down and pass full control of the company over to myself to enable me to find a new business partner and take the company forward. In Early January 2024, a new business partnership was formed between Michael Sitch, Owner and MD of Brunel Global Solutions and Siming Wang, Founder of 4P Links Limited, and the company FXT CARGO LTD was incorporated.
